Ash Brook Dog Walking Field

Please Note

CCTV is in operation.

We are located in a rural area down a single track road. The lane is used by walkers, horse riders and farming vehicles which all must have priority right of way.

We value our local community and ask that all customers respect the above by giving way to tractors, horse riders and walkers and not mounting grass verges or lawns.

While the road is a national speed limit, we expect our customers to not drive above 30mph to ensure the safety of our residents.

Our neighbors are keeping us informed of vehicle registrations who are not abiding to our terms of use and those who show disregard will be banned from using our facility.

Subject to our planning conditions, no more than 2 cars are allowed on the car park at any one time. Please do not park on the grass verges or highway as this will also breach our conditions and could lead to closure of this facility.

Customers in breach of these terms and conditions will be asked to leave and banned from using the field.

Exempt Dog Breeds (including XL bully types

All dogs are welcome at our fields. Unfortunately, due to the DDA, we have to follow certain guidelines to comply with the law and our insurance provider.

In particular, the following must be adhered to when using the field for an XL bully type dog:

  1. The dog must be registered with the index of exempted dogs.

  2. You hold your own public liability insurance for the dog.

  3. The dog handler ratio is 1:1

  4. The dog is neutered – in line with Government Rules The dog is micro-chipped

  5. The dog is kept on a lead and muzzled until safely in the field and the gate is locked from the inside. The muzzle and lead can be removed once the gate is closed and locked.

  6. The dog is put back on the lead and muzzled before opening the gate to leave the field.

If the household has more than one dog, they can come to the field together, but the banned breed dog must have its own handler and then another member of the same household needs to supervise the other dogs. If there is more than one banned breed in the same household, they can come together but each dog must have its own handler.
